Join us on Wednesday, September 21 at Aurora Picture Show in Houston, Texas for an experimental shorts screening. The screening will feature short films from the 2022 BlackStar Film Festival that center history, movement, and place. It will include Rikkí Wright and Terence Nance’s meditative short documentary on “process” Vortex, Suneil Sanzgiri’s Golden Jubilee – a reflection on the “ideas of freedom, loss and recovery in the wake of colonial and neo-colonial theft,” and other festival favorites. Seen Editor-in-Chief Dessane Lopez Cassell will be in attendance and will introduce the curated program. The event will run from 7:30 – 9:00 PM.
