We know that many stories about Black and Brown people are often told by white production teams. But what do you do when you are a person of color working with such a team to tell the story of a BIPOC person, and you have to fight tooth and nail to make sure that the film participant is represented with dignity and in the fullness of their humanity? In this panel discussion, Black documentary film professionals discuss the realities of mixed race production crews and the fight for the humane representation of Black film participants.
