Astria Suparak

Astria Suparak’s cross-disciplinary practice often addresses urgent political issues and has been widely acclaimed for high-level concepts made accessible through a popular culture lens, such as a series of projects and events at the intersection of sports, politics, and art; and an oral history and map of the global impact of the riot grrrl punk feminist movement. She has curated exhibitions and screenings for arts institutions, festivals, and unconventional spaces such as roller-skating rinks.
